Vitality

In the eternal cycle of being and in all life forms that obey and speak of that mystery within, there lies a sublime beauty that inspires my artwork.

In this series, I continue my exploration of meditation on this theme, through subjective formal interpretation of flora– from the seeds that embody the beginning in its firm corpus to flowers that bloom with all its might.

I applied varying viscosity of acrylic paints and light density of water on horizontal canvas to form complex compounds of color bodies and allowed them to blend as I shifted the surface tilt. Often, I am inversely influenced and inspired by the forms created by the controlled chance in this operation.

In the process of revealing the quiet quivering pulse of life concealed within the seed, illuminating the inherent energy in the vivacity and freedom of flower, I tried to draw closer to the intrinsic qualities of vitality.
